Under 16 Netball preliminary round competitions were held in Gn.A.E.C on 13^th April 2009. Gn.A.E.C categorizes its students in four houses namely Imad house, Muzzaffar house, Ameen house and Shaniviraza house. Every house is led by house master or mistress selected by the school.

 After days of practice, a preliminary round match was held between Imad and Muzzaffar house on Monday 13^th April. Despite several tries, Muzzaffar house lost the match to Imad. Imad house master and students had no bound of happiness after winning the match. In another match on the same day Shaniviraza won against Ameen house. Both the matches were nail biting. All the houses seemed excited and curiously waited till the end of it. The houses, Imad and Shaniviraza played very well and the match resulted in their favor. The opponents tried harder but couldn’t stop the flow of scores.

The scores were as following:

Shaniviraza scored 14 against a meager 5 scored by Ameen house. Ziyadha Mohamed of Shaniviraza house was declared ‘Queen of the match’. Imad house scored 9 beating Muzzaffar house scoring 4 points.

After the preliminary round the two finalists will be facing each other shortly. A final match between Imad house and Shaniviraza house is yet to be played. House masters and all the students have fixed their eyes on their favorite teams and awaiting the match.
