Fuvahmulah: ‘A’ level students are off to Addu for a field trip. Both the business and science stream students of grade 12 got the opportunity to take the advantage of the trip. The purpose of the field trip is “to enrich the students’ practical knowledge”, said Mr. Murad, A level coordinator. Ms. Lakshmi, ‘A’ level Biology teacher stated that everything cannot be theoretical as the students grow they need to be more practical, which will help to achieve the teaching objectives.

Gn.A.E.C is always at the stand to provide such educational trips to the students. This trip is to set an example that Gn. A.E.C goes beyond the conventional methods of education. The trip is scheduled on 18^th March and 19^th March. The team of students and teachers are expected to return on Saturday. They will be visiting as many as five places studying various things which includes STO supermarket, Dhiraagu branch benefiting the Business students and Hospital for Science students. However, MET office will be commonly visited. The group will be putting up in a resort with all the facilities at their hand.

It is fun and learn for the students. The attitude towards learning or studying definitely becomes affirmative. This will help to develop interest in the subjects that once were boring. This will be a great achievement in itself for the teachers. However, the aim goes ahead of that. The aim is to motivate the students and to maintain the same interest and carry on.
