After a series of lectures in many islands it was now Fuvahmulah’s turn. Mr. Shaikh Ilyas Hussain’s, valuable presence could be witnessed when he was invited as a guest lecturer in Gn. A.E.C’s premises on 8 Feb 2009. This formal function began after the recitation of Holy Quran by one of the Gn.A.E.C students, which was followed by an inaugural speech by Abdul Azeez Ismail. Mr. Shaikh enlightened the audience on the importance on the holy prayer. However he stressed on the life after death.

Mr. Shaikh Ilyas Hussain’s lecture received a wide and overwhelming response from all over the island. Many students and parents from Gn. A.E.C and from Hafiz Ahmed School and many others were the fortunate audience to be the part of the lecture. It was clearly visible that Mr. Shaikh’s social but religious message is spread in many islands and now in Fuvahmulah. It seemed that his social cum religious speeches sufficed the purpose of living this life. Looking at his dedication it is sure that, to lead a group for religious purpose is divine and to follow the leader is divinity.
